Silent Spring

Question: Write an essay on Silent Spring? Answer: This essay highlights the relevance of the environmental health and other factors, which can affect the nature. Silent Spring, written by Rachel Carson is based on the environmental science. The effect on pesticide usage on the environment, and especially on birds and others are analysed. Increase in the chemical industries has affected the nature. Awareness of the problem and the steps that is required to be taken for implementing process which will help in improving the environmental factors (Matthiessen, 2007). An increase in the synthetic pesticides has directly and indirectly affected the environment. Many programs were introduced by the authorities for increasing the awareness of the pesticide on the environmental factors. The research was conducted to find the best method through which the necessary steps could be taken for implementing changes that will protect the environment. The poisons created due to pesticides are analysed as this will help the authorities in minimising the environmental factors. Through the research method, the potential damage that can caused to the environment. Appropriate actions are essential for reducing the impact of the pesticide usage on the nature (Lytle, 2007). The work drafted by Carson highlighted the environmental problem which had to be controlled for protecting the birds. Through the work, the environmentalists from different parts of the world concentrated on different issues that were related to the maximum usage of pesticide. Chemical usage quite often causes negative impact on the nature an environment. Detrimental effects due to the usage of harmful chemical pesticide have to be evaluated. This will help in determining different steps through which the harm created to the nature can be analysed and minimised. Chemical industries are expected to spread the right type of information, which is necessary for improving and controlling the issues related to environment. The relevance of the nature or the eco-system has to be evaluated, as this will help in developing and introducing right type of strategies for controlling the negative impact on the nature. Some of the serious cases related to pesticide affect the quality of human life. This includes development of life threatening diseases like cancer, positing, and other type of illness. Such diseases can impact the nature, ecosystem, and human lives (McLaughlin, 2010). Through the laboratory tests that were conducted on animals, the DDT was produced or caused serious illness like liver tumours. Development of such tumours was quite uncertain and it was quite challenging to classify the factors. The inclusion of the chemical contents at the time of developing the pesticides has to be followed as per the standards that have been drafted by the authorities. It is necessary to develop and share accurate knowledge about DDT factors, which can kill the insects. DT, ethane was also called as dichloro-diphenyl-trichloroethane is considered to be serious concern. Insecticide contents like DDT can avoid the spread of serious diseases like malaria and typhoid. Such diseases are transmitted through serious insects, which had actually saved thousands of lives during the war period. After analysing the benefits associated with DDT, the authorities had promoted the usage of the powerful chemicals, which is related to adopting steps for increasing the production activities. Due to the potential benefits seen with the products, the sales for DDT had tremendously increased (Murphy, 2005). The author had predicted the development and implementation of the resistance of the pesticides. However, the usage of the pesticide had negatively affected the eco-system and some of the rare species. The need for acceptance of the biotic method for controlling the pest control system. An approach has been adopted to avoid the usage of the chemical pesticides. DDT didnt have any direct side effects on the nature, but the indiscriminate usage of the product impacted the counter-productive system. This has to be analysed as it can affect the resistance to the pesticides. Thus it becomes important to reduce the negative impact of the pesticide usage on the crops and the birds. The work highlights the importance of identifying the diseases that are caused due to insects. Such issues cannot be ignored, as it will impact the environment and the trust of the people while using the pesticide for controlling the advert impact of the chemical contents present in the pesticide. This is one of the reasons, the problem needs to be analysed and corrective measures needs to be improving the usage of the pesticide, and reduce the negative impact on nature (Matthiessen, 2007). During the war time, there was an increase in the number of different diseases which was caused due to insects. The infection was supposed to be controlled, by introducing corrective measures which will protect the lives of the people and the insects. Different factors that impacts the process of negative impact caused due to pesticide usage had to be controlled. Through effective planning and implementation process, a reliable method for improving the production, while maintaining the quality of the services related to the usage of the pesticide. Through the practical approach had to be adopted and introduced in the right manner. While spraying the pesticide, it is recommended to use the right quantity for controlling the insects. This will protect the environment and wouldnt kill the species (Josie, 2007). Uncontrolled spray of chemicals can kill birds that survive on dying insects and dead animals. Such chemical also travel through the food chain, which affects the environment and human lives. The chemicals can be also transferred from one generation to the other, which is transferred from the mothers to the unborn children. Such conditions have to be analysed as this will impact the lives of different species. The development of new ideas, which will help in controlling the side effects related to the use of the pesticide for various reasons. The interdependent and the inter-connected factors caused due to the usage of the pesticide for controlling the growth of the insects. Banning the products is not an option as this would cause many other problem related to the biological factors. The steps have to be planned and implemented in the right manner, as this will protect the environment (Himaras, 2007). References Himaras, Eleni (May 26, 2007).
